Honour for Library and Information Science

Prof. (Dr) V. G. Talwar was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the nearly hundred years old prestigious academic institution in the country, the University of Mysore. This happened when the 15th Refresher Course for Library and Information Science was going on at the UGC-Academic Staff College, University of Mysore.

The happy occassion was celebrated at the melancholic outskirts of Kukkarahalli, the enchanting lakeside by felicitating Dr Talwar. Librarians from all over the state of Karnataka and some from Kerala participated in the occasion. Prof Talwar was befittingly honoured at the occassion. Professionals were competing with each other to offer their felicitations to Dr Talwar.

In his speech Dr Talwar declared that the flag of Library and Information Science will be flying still more heights during his tenure. He also added that his posting should be an inspiration to the total profession. He also thanked all the professionals who prayed and helped him attaining the position.
